  2. You can also join the waitlist or contact the Soil Health Coordinator to learn more about availability timeline, and work with you to ensure all your questions about the application of a No Till Drill are answered.

  3. Coordinate pick up with Mitchell County Cattleman’s Association.The handling fee must all be collected at the time of pick up.

  4. Upon conclusion of Drill use, drop off the, report acreage, and pay the total fee due.

The Flint River Soil and Water Conservation District Currently leases a Great Plains 3P606NT No Till Drill to eligible landowners, farmers, and land managers, ideal for direct seeding small-scale row crops, pastures, orchards, vineyards, wildlife food plots, farm demo sites, and more.

The Drill is available for $15 per acre, with a flat, non-refundable handling fee of $30.

Potential participants can reach out to info@flintriverswcd.org or join the waitlist. The equipment does not have an operator - renters must pick up and deliver the equipment from the Mitchell County Agricultural Center. The drill is mounted on a trailer with a 2 inch ball coupling for transporting from the Mitchell County Extension Office to your property and back.

The District has partnered with the Mitchell County Cattleman’s Association to manage rental agreements with local lessees. Proceeds benefit Mitchell County youth livestock programs and outreach and education efforts. Please contact the Mitchell County Extension Administrative Assistant for more information on how to rent this equipment.
